This section only apply when you’ve purchased the T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa SD Card.
T4A GPS Maps are released 2 times a year as from 2009:
May and October.
T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa SD Card is exactly the same as T4A GPS Maps, all 14 regional maps on one SD Card.
In addition to the free upgrade of T4A GPS Maps you can also subscribe to our Data Subscription Service (T4A 4Ever). This allows you the peace of mind that you will receive a copy of T4A GPS Maps every time it becomes available for sale to the public.
The update release of T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa SD Card has been available every February, June and October of each year. As from 2009, an update release will only be available every May and October.
There are two ways to upgrade your T4A experience:
T4A Maps 4Ever – a data subscription service
Once-off Upgrade & Discounts– a free upgrade and future versions at a discount
T4A 4Ever
Frequent travellers are aware that the by-roads and little tracks in Africa change with time. A map that was released before the last rainy season might just not be accurate enough in some areas. This together with the fact that Tracks4Africa community members are sending new data to us on a DAILY basis necessitates the frequent traveller to always have the latest version of T4A Maps available.
It is our philosophy that T4A Maps are not just maps, they are the collective travel experience of the T4A Community and that the changing nature of our product should be commercially accessible for frequent updates. So we have introduced T4A4Ever. T4A 4Ever is a unique data subscription service that allows you to receive every release of T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa SD Card as and when we release it - and this at a price that will make our competitors blush!
The prices below are valid for 2010:

Prices include VAT & Courier delivery in RSA
We charge extra for international delivery
No upgrades available on these offers.

Once-off Upgrade & Discounts
If you buy any or all of the T4A GPS Maps regional maps or the T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa SD Card, a download link for the next upgrade will be emailed to you free of charge. People who buy the T4A GPS Maps regional maps from our online store will automatically be eligible for an upgrade but people who buy the T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa CD / SD Card must register and provide a valid email address to also become eligible for the next free upgrade (please note that the download file is more than 60Mb in size).
V10.05 T4A GPS Maps are distributed on a Plug & Play SD card. This is an SD card with T4A GPS Maps preloaded and ready to use in your compatible Garmin GPS. If you wish to have the free upgrade on SD Card, this can be posted to you at a cost of R150 if you live within the borders of South Africa. If you live outside of South Africa, the SD Card can be couriered to you, but you will be liable for the courier cost.
If you purchased all 14 T4A GPS Maps regional maps you qualify for a sliding scale for purchases thereafter.
For example, if you purchased version 8.06, you will qualify for a 70% discount for version 9.05 of the retail price.
(ie. Version 8.10 would have been your free upgrade), then for version 9.10 you will qualify for a 35% discount and so forth.
